My first attempt at figure customing: WIP

Oh well, thought I'd post some pics now that I got camera for a week, don't know if I can finish it this week, hope so. Anyways, I got a cheap Neca Mikey, with missing right hand and nunchakus. Since everything else was there, first thing I did was right hand from that climbing hand, it was rather easy. I just took those spikes off, and sculped the remaining hole to look right.

At that point, I didn't know yet what I wanted to do, but I did know that I was irritated by Mikey's facial expression, and so I changed his mouth a little. Well, this was supposed to become Adventures-series' Future Mikey, but I've always liked Raph more, and he is easier to do, so I made it into him instead. Sculpted some Wrinkles below eyes, and string for eyepatch.

After that I painted his eyepatch, and those arm/legbands, and left it here for weekend, while getting better tools to work on his cap. Also took a camera, and thought I'd make a post outta this.


Also took a size comparison pic of my next project, which is much bigger, I need to sculpt him new legs, hands, tail, torpedotubes....And paint much more. Well, here it is anyway, no idea how I'll manage it, but I think I'll have fun doing it.

Scroll on wall

I told in last blog entry about a scroll I got from Korea, and thought I'd put picture of it here too. I really like how it's done, and can't help but think it's taken a while, since it's all handpainted.


Another thing I put a picture of, is an army mapbag I've painted to make it look more... unmilitary. It's not near as neat as that scroll, but works. Maybe I'll use more colors to it later, to highlight it.

Quazine with four reptiles and a rodent

It's finally time to update this blog, and what would be a better way than introducing some cool things from Mirage. If you don't know what a Quazine is, read it here

Anyways, I asked to get mine signed, and so I did.



It's got a great sculpt, and it's sitting on top of my telly now.

I also got TMNT Portfolio at the same time, and put them on my walls with frames. Raph was put on wall first, so he's in different side of room than others, and you can see my labcoats and army mapbag which I painted so it'd look better. It's with me when I'm carrying drinks....@___@




In other pic you can see a corner of a really neat lookin scroll with my name on, I got it years ago from my cousin who brought it from Korea. Gonna post pictures of it a bit later!
